Most Favorite Magazines

I absolutely adore magazines -- and it's not just because I work for one. I love magazine design. Magazines are so unique, visually pleasing (when designed correctly) and offer great content. Sometimes I just sit down with a pile of magazines and read, but also LOOK. Like today.

I read through them but for magazines that I particularly love the design (like Boston & Dwell) I also flag pages for layout ideas. It's visual inspiration for my own design later. (It's pretty fabulous that this month's issue happens to have a feature about local microbrews, hurrah!) For Parents & Parenting it's also a bit about design, but content, too. I'm not a parent, but I do work for a regional parenting magazine so I need to keep up with the national trends.
